Kibitzer's Corner
May-07-06  weisyschwarz: Good game. A great pretzel knot one hopes for in a Benko Gambit.
May-08-06  notyetagm: Rybka steps all over Ant in this game.

Look at Rybka's piece activity after 22 ... ♘e5. Those centralized Black d4- and e5-knights! Yikes!

The Benko Gambit is a great choice for a strong computer engine like Rybka that is great at tactics and has strong positional understanding.

May-08-06  notyetagm: I love how Rybka uses his complete control of the center to shift from a queenside attack to the kingside.

Such is the power of controlling the center, the flexibility to attack wherever the opponent is weakest.

A great example of <Control the center and you control the game>.
