suenteus po 147: These two have only played each other twice before, once 11 years ago, and the second was six days ago. Kamsky drew the first and won the second. I hope Kamsky can pull off a win to somehow tie Topalov, but if what I'm hearing about rapid tiebreaks is true, he's done for anyway.
May-21-06  blingice: Ruy Lopez and a draw, is what I'm predicting, based off of the Repertiore Explorers' frequencies of openings. Kamsky shows an equal winning percentage for white and black after Bb5 in the Ruy Lopez (30.9% for both), with a drawing chance. Svidler, after that same point, has a very large drawing chance (of about 52%) but with a very small chance of a black win. But, since Kamsky's win rate is a bit higher as black with that line, and he's playing well, so I suppose it'll equal off.
May-21-06  whiskeyrebel: it's been a pleasantly unpredictable event. Well worth following daily. Good luck Gata.

May-21-06  alexandrovm: it seems to be a draw now, repetition of moves...
May-21-06  TheBB: On the site the last move is reported as Qf4, in which case the game is definitely not drawn... hehe.
May-21-06  alexandrovm: <TheBB: On the site the last move is reported as Qf4, in which case the game is definitely not drawn... hehe.> lol! It's really hard to believe that last move...but yet again anything is possible :)
