  Ulhumbrus: One point of 9 Re1 and 10 d4 is that after d4 the KB can retreat to f1. This suggests playing 9...a6 10 Bc4 b5 before White can play d4, so that after 11 Bb3 Na5 threatens to shut the White KB out of play by ...c5 and ...c4. All that White has to do is to cooperate with Black's plan, which he probably won't.

  Ulhumbrus: 19 g4 is going to allow Black's N on g6 access to f4, after Black plays his Q to f6 via e7, to support ...Nf4. 26...Nf4 is the move which gains the advantage, depriving White of his bishop pair.
