WannaBe: Something ain't right, this was pointed out by <patzernic>.

Shredder's analysis:
35. Nxc7 hxg2 36. Rxd6 Rxd6 37. Qxe5+ Bg7 38. Qxd6 Rc8 39. Ne6 Bxb2 ( 10.95)

Only thing that even approaches a draw is if this is played: 35. Nxf6 Kg7 36. Nd5 Qc5+ 37. Kh1 hxg2+ ( 0.52)

WannaBe: If Kett did make the move, and then offer a draw, he got away with one. Or was Omearat down on time and can't make first time control?
May-29-06   patzernic: Thanks wannabe I quickly played around with a few positions and as you say white couldn't lose this game. unless maybe, he was playing with extremely heavy granite pieces!

dakgootje: they were playing with living pieces and and piece representing the knight was a horse. Shame the horse didnt want to play on after some moves, and thus a draw was agreed. Probably that or the pieces were indeed extremely big and made of granite
May-29-06   patzernic: OR A.Amearat has a phycological aversion to capturing queens. It's possible that he could have been The World Champion if it wasn't for this piffleing minor fault in his chess playing psyche.

dakgootje: <OR A.Amearat has a phycological aversion to capturing queens.> Then he could've still captured the rook with his knight. So the chance is bigger that something is wrong with the knight then the opponents queen...
May-30-06   jajaja: I think it has to be a mistaken notation. why did black play Qc7 in the first place?
May-30-06   AniamL: hahahah, <pazternic> and <dakgootje> I like the granite reference.
