Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-02-04  mack: Wow, pressed the random game button and came across a Kasparov defeat. What are the chances?
Jul-02-04  ConLaMismaMano: Kasparov was 13 years old here...
Jul-02-04  maoam: <Kasparov was 13 years old here...>

I don't think that was what <mack> meant. The probability of getting a Kasparov loss is 171/281522, which is about 1 in 10000...

Jul-11-04  mjenk28083: If kasparov was 13 he experienced a great game of wickedness
Jan-30-06  OKKarpovisgreat: Garry did fairly well here, but
Van der Weil's technique was superior.
I suspect there are several improvements for Black that could be found.
Jan-30-06  blingice: Did Kasparov misjudge his 24th move?
May-08-08  laboratory62: Even more interesting: you got Kasparov's defeat to Van der Wiel! What are the odds? 1:281522!!! Incredible!
Feb-05-11  Lennonfan: Whatever became of the player with the black pieces...i mean that 24th move shoulda condemned him to chess hell!
Aug-21-11  mannetje: I can't help quoting Feynman (from 'Physics Today', David Goodstein):

<You know, the most amazing thing happened to me tonight. I was coming here, on the way to the lecture, and I came through the parking lot. And you won't believe what happened. I saw a car with the license plate ARW 357! Can you imagine? Of all the millions of license plates in the state, what was the chance that I would see that particular one tonight? Amazing!>
