Honza Cervenka: Quite impressive win in Caro-Kann with black pieces. After 13.0-0-0 white's game was definitely bad but already 12.dxe5 was not goog idea. 12.b4 to prevent Bc5 would have been probably better. Maybe all white's conception beginning with 8.Bf4 was not good at all and that 8.Ng3 with next Be2 or Bd3 and 0-0 deserves preference.

perfidious: In my experience of playing this line about twenty times for Black in the 1980s, I never faced 8.Bf4; much more common then was the sharp line 8.Ng3 Bg6 9.h4 h5 10.Be2 Qa5 11.b4 Qc7 12.Nxh5. In my opinion,8.Bf4 isn't good at all; it merely encourages ....e5, as in the game continuation.
