Dr. Funkenstein: Carlsen looked like he had a winning position until he traded queens and gave white's pieces more freedom. Did he have a better move after 29. Qxh2 or was that the move that allowed Johannessen to get back in the game?
Jul-10-06  pinto123: 29 ... Qxh2 seems more or less forced. Magnus is a pawn down here, so if there is no great plan then just get the material back!
Jul-11-06  kbaumen: Couldn't he continue with that gaining of material by 31 ... Qe2? He could get another pawn, to stay one pawn ahead after exf7. At least I don't see any threats, if he does that.
Jul-12-06  psmith: <kbaumen> 31... Qe2? 32. Qd8+ Kh7 33. exf7 wins.
