luzhin: I can't believe that Korchnoi missed 14.b4 ;I imagine he intended to play 14..Nd3+, but it fails to 15.Kd2 and if 15..Nxb4 then 16.Bxb6 Nxc2 17.Bxb5+ is game over.

cu8sfan: <I can't believe that Korchnoi missed 14.b4> Remember Morozevich vs Korchnoi, 2004? Seems like every once in a while Korchnoi falls prey to the unfamous mouse slip.
Jul-24-06  aragorn69: Another recent example, also in Korchnoi's cherished French Defense, is Shirov vs Korchnoi, 2004

Is there any other case of Viktor resigning as soon as here (in the French) ?

KingG: Interesting way of playing against the French.
