Ron: I think this is a very good game by Leko. His style of play at its best.

suenteus po 147: This is an awesome game, especially when you consider that Leko was a at a big time disadvantage when Naiditsch resigned!

About 1.d4...is Leko looking to expand his repertoire or did he use it for pure shock value for the start of this tournament?

Jul-30-06  alicefujimori: I'm glad that Leko is turning to 1.d4. The positions that arises from 1.d4 really suits his style more than the positions that arised from 1.e4.
Jul-30-06  aragorn69: How about those two knights on d4 and d2 (from move 21 on to the end) protecting each other without needing direct protection! Highly original and impressive, IMO. Congrats to Leko for a brilliant game!
Aug-04-06  TheSlid: Leko seems to playing well again. He seemed to have a spell of not really knowing what he was doing, after his recent marriage. Chess players need routine, it would seem.
