suenteus po 147: It looks like Adams can hold it to a draw. The Spider is ever cunning, and it's great to see him back at the top of his game.
Aug-04-06  euripides: It might be tempting to play b5 and then put the white-squared bishop on the long diagonal and bring the king to h4. But Black's knight on e6 seems to stop anything even then as if Bxe6 Kxe6 there are opposit coloured bishops and if then Ba5 bxa5 the king i in the square of the b pawn.
Aug-04-06  gmgomes: kramnik will play 42. 1/2.
Aug-04-06  positionalgenius: Does anyone know how the rest of the games are going?

TheAlchemist: <chessgames.com> Thanks for the broadcast! Are there any other games in progress you will switch to, perhaps?

Marmot PFL: Well played, but my. impression is Kramnik played very cautiously, whereas Topalov would have taken some risks and tried harder to win.
Aug-04-06  EmperorAtahualpa: <chessgames.com> Thanks for the broadcasting, as always!
Aug-04-06  hitman84: 33...Kb8!! was my favourite move in the game
Aug-04-06  Atking: Finally I still think that 26.Rd5 was a better test. 26. ...Re5 27.Bd4 RxRd5 28.cxRd5 and if 28. ...Qxd5 29.Bxb6. Else 26. ...Bg6 27.b4 Bf7 28.Rb5 and c5.

The three other games are all still in progress. White seems to hold a small advantage in each of those games at this point.

Aug-04-06  bane77: White waited too much and missed the opportunity for b4 at moves 25 and on.
Aug-04-06  s4life: <Another 20+ moves of high-level strategy are in the offing.>

You were refering to the next Kramnik game right?

Aug-04-06  Veryrusty: <s4life: <Another 20+ moves of high-level strategy are in the offing.> You were refering to the next Kramnik game right?> Obviously!! ;)
Aug-04-06  Bufon: Kramnik is the only player that has made a perfect score until now, 5 draws!
Aug-04-06  Caloy: Drawnik strikes again!
Aug-05-06  Phoenix: Kramnik is certainly not giving Topalov much to work with.
Aug-05-06  Bufon: <Phoenix> Are you @#$% or what? Thats the cheapest excuse i ever heard for Drawnik season of draws!
Aug-05-06  whatthefat: Wow, thanks for that, <Topzi..>, sorry, <Bufon>.
Aug-06-06  spirit: <Bufon> not an excuse...<phoenix> is right in my opinion
