Dec-10-06  Ch3ckmate: is a blitz game always 5 mins? can it be shorter or longer time?
Dec-10-06  Karpova: can be shorter. On uscl it ranges from 2 min 1 sec to 10 min, i think. but 5 min without increment is quite common.
Dec-20-06  KKDEREK: < i can't beleive kasparov is still so good at chess, given how old he is.> Keen said with prep Kasparov is still, afeter all this years the strong human contender for Kramnik..Afeter all this years..I cant believe some people dont realise he s the best player from at least 40-50 years..
Feb-09-07  fblin: Kasparov missed a checkmate in 5 !!!

Feb-28-07  TheHurricane3: This is the most beautiful game I've ever seen!
Mar-18-07  Vash854: Kasparov is only 44, you can't really say he is old.
Mar-20-07  alexandrovm: well, the guy is just a genious, read my link on Kasparov's page. His IQ is 190!
Apr-01-07  BadTemper: What's wrong with 26..Nc7 ?

  tpstar: 26 ... Nc7? loses material to 27. Nxd6 Qd8/Qf6 28. Nxc8 & 29. Qxd7.

By convention, 36. Be4+ is Mate in Three. =)

Apr-04-07  BadTemper: <tpstar> ah thank you sir. i missed/forgot to realize that the Knight hangs after the capture

KingG: This is a very enjoyable blitz game. It's a shame Kasparov doesn't at least play in a few rapid and blitz events like he said he might after he retired.

benjinathan: I find 6...Qe8 to be a curious move.
Jul-14-08  capin: Jajaja. After 6. --- Qe8 a child wins. Maybe Polgar wanted Kasparov wins easy!
Dec-31-08  duplex: Not a big surprise Kasparow has humiliated Judith every single time that's why she gave up hope to be the world champion of all classes..
Mar-19-09  aazqua: Black just got manhandled in this game.
Nov-06-09  ycbaywtb: the ending w/Rd7 and Rd8 threatented is cool
Jan-11-10  Mostolesdude: Teen Wolf Polgar is no match for the king.
Jan-11-10  I play the Fred: <Not a big surprise Kasparow has humiliated Judith every single time>

Not every single time. This site has Kasparov with +12-1=4, or 14-3 (+11). Kasparov had enormous plus scores against nearly everyone he faced in his career. Here's a pretty generous sampling against some top-flight opponents (Kasparov's plus score in parentheses): Michael Adams was 6.5-16.5 (+10); Viswanathan Anand was 29.5-47.5 (+18); Evgeny Bareev was 3-12 (+9); Alexander Beliavsky was 20.5-12.5 (+8); Boris Gelfand, 4.5-17.5 (+13); Vassily Ivanchuk 19.5-28.5 (+9), Predrag Nikolic, 2.5-13.5 (+11); Alexei Shirov, 7.5-24.5 (+17); Nigel Short, 23-51 (+28); Jan Timman, 19-41 (+22); Even Viktor Korchnoi was routed, 14-31 (+17).

Mr. K scored +173 against those twelve top notch players - four of whom never won a single game against him. Damn!

It's astounding how Kasparov just blew away world-class grandmasters.

Sep-12-10  Damianx: y did he do it twice bishop etc.
Feb-18-11  FISCHERboy: Just look at Kasparov's position after 23 moves! Beautiful pawns, like an infantry going to clear the field of mines.

how about Kramnik?

does he have plus score against him?

Feb-18-11  iking: Classical games: Vladimir Kramnik beat Garry Kasparov 9 to 7, with 50 draws.
Feb-18-11  iking: Tigran Petrosian has an even score against Kasparov (+2-2=1)

Teimour RadjabovTeimour Radjabov was 15 years old at the time of this game, thus becoming the youngest player in history to defeat the world's #1 player (and did so as Black). He has an equal record (+1-1=1) against Kasparov at a classical time control.

Boris Spassky has an even record against Kasparov (+2-2=4)

Anatoly Karpov won a game against Kasparov before he turned 16, has won over 20 games against him since then, and has a narrow minus score, +23-29=137

Boris Gulko has a plus score against Kasparov (+3-1=4), including a win while Kasparov was world champion, making it three in a row)

these are the people that can hold against Kasparov ~ very few

Feb-18-11  Wilhelm Steinitz: <iking:>

<Classical games: Vladimir Kramnik beat Garry Kasparov 9 to 7, with 50 draws.>

That statistic is incorrect. The correct score between Kasparov and Kramnik in classical chess is 5 wins, 4 losses and 40 draws in Kramnik's favour.

Mar-25-12  Robyn Hode: Yet who believes Kramnik is a better player than Kasparov?
