Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-02-06  ajile: Amazing game. Anyone have other ideas on Black's defense in this game?

ganstaman: :( I get so excited when I see the opening listed as Uncommon Opening (A00) . And then I see this. Kinda kills the excitement.
Sep-02-06  Rocafella: What a pessimistic way to approach this game. Resigning by the mere sight of your opponent. Coward they shout. I think he realised that white cannot win after 1.d4 or 1.e4 Nf6 or 1.e4 c5, in which both cases Fritz 130 evaluates the position at -2.34!
Sep-02-06  tacite: From what I've heard, the fellow was not able to be there and play.
Sep-02-06  syracrophy: In this position I suggest 1.e4 (searching for open and aggressive game), 1.d4 (searching for more positional play), 1.c4 (for a positional and aggressive play). In all, black has defensive and good options to play.

I see that this position is equilibrated for both sides. In fact, an interesting game

Sep-02-06  sneaky pete: Games Like T Roussel Roozmon vs S Kulic, 2006 doesn't give any results, so this opening is quite original.
Sep-05-06  stephenw: Its hard to find where black went wrong!
Sep-24-06  fgh: Can this game even be taken seriously? Even the tournament's name "Canadian Closed" seems suspicious.
Oct-06-06  tacite: <ajile : Anyone have other ideas on Black's defense in this game?> The run-for-your-life strategy.
Sep-01-07  Mate Hunter: There are 6 games that end in the first move. You can see them here: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/ches...
Sep-20-07  centercounter: Rogoff-Huebner isn't in there?
Mar-08-08  D.Observer: Why resign before starting the game?!
Apr-25-08  JimmyVermeer: Up to 15 now, Mate Hunter. The database just keeps growing! Frankly, I think we could do without all these ridiculously short games.
Sep-01-08  blazerdoodle: What a waste of f*@$@ing time. I guess that's chess.
Dec-20-08  patzer of patzers: <Mate Hunter> Your search is limited to the games labeled with an Uncommon Opening. There are rather more than that: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/ches...

Admittedly, some (at least 2) of these games are actual games labeled incorrectly. Most, however, really don't have moves.
