Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-20-06  Tenderfoot: Quite an odd bishop trade here...why doesn't either side take the rook on 23-25?
Oct-20-06  Cyphelium: <Tenderfoot> 24. ♔xe3 is not good in view of 24.- ♖e8+ 25. ♔f2 ♗xf4 and black will win the pawn on c2 and exchange one pair of rooks. Then the resulting endgame with two bishops against a lone rook is very difficult for white. Black shouldn't take the rook either, as after 24. -cxd6 25. ♔xe3 and black is just a pawn down. After the game move the material remains equal. Also black keeps the initiative.
Oct-21-06  Tenderfoot: This is why I lose on Yahoo.
