Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-08-06  Shajmaty: Shirov plays a nice suggestion by Shipov, 19. a4!? instead of 19. Te1, as at game no. 8 of the Kramnik-Leko 2004 World Championship match (which White lost)... but is not able to find the best at move no. 23 (Qf2!) and ends the game with a repetition between 24th and 27th, when he had more than compensation for the exchange (Bishop Pair plus two pawns!).
Nov-08-06  crazy monk: <when he had more than compensation for the exchange> spent, no more fire-on-board.
Nov-10-06  dehanne: <spent, no more fire-on-board.> No, it's because Leko took the necessary precautions before the game : he decided to wear his asbestos shirt.
