Aug-17-13  BlackFront: <The Road to Cerf Doom>
Dec-05-13  Robespierre: I wonder if some chess-playing libertarian came up with this pun?
Dec-05-13  waustad: Any pun involving "Cerf" should include "Bennet" somewhere, but I don't really see how without too much of a stretch. Then again, the voters probably are too young to remember him.

Phony Benoni: <waustad> Oh, I remember him. ANd I even remember stretch leotards.

FSR: <Robespierre: I wonder if some chess-playing libertarian came up with this pun?>

I don't know, but I just submitted <Atlas Shrugged> for V Atlas vs M Ruf, 1996.

Dec-05-13  Robespierre: <waustad>

There are a few people who still remember Bennett Cerf, and I'm one of them. However, that's because I grew up with 'Howdy Doody' and "What's My Line!"

Dec-05-13  Robespierre: <FSR>

Very clever!

offramp: Based on the famous book by Selma Hayek.
Dec-05-13  morfishine: Leotard catches Black with his pants down
Dec-05-13  RedShield: Pun of the year, century, millennium. Where do I vote?
Dec-05-13  goodevans: <FSR: ... I just submitted <Atlas Shrugged> for V Atlas vs M Ruf, 1996.>

I have a pretty low opinion of that book, which is why I remember that pun being used before for V Atlas vs J Ye, 1994.

playground player: <Phony Benoni> Stretch leotards? My, that does go back a ways! Do you also remember wax dinosaurs by the Miller Company? And Frothee? I wonder if anyone remembers Frothee.
Dec-05-13  kevin86: Good pun...white's connectors will guarentee a quick win.

Phony Benoni: <playground player> In my day, we didn't have wax dinosaurs. Just the real ones.

<RedShield> We traditionally have a year-end competition known as the Caissars in which PUn of the Year is one category. There's some pretty stiff competition, though.

Dec-05-13  RedShield: <There's some pretty stiff competition, though.>

Is there a <Genius of the Year>?

Dec-05-13  Andrijadj: Oh, what a great pun! Glad to see other Hayek fans here :)
