  luzhin: Odd that a player rated 400 elo points above his opponent should lose on time in such a position. It is not as if there had been any great complications on the way there. Still, it helped to give his 12 year old Indian opponent an IM norm -- not that I am suggesting anything suspicious.....
Jan-08-07   FM Jack Rudd: Tahirov was very ill throughout the tournament, and was taking medication whose side-effects included drowsiness. This could explain some of the odd things in his play.
