Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-01-08   shr0pshire: Gallinnis, Norbert 2570 -- Korolev, Sergey Ivanovich 2615

ICCF: corr W-17ch

6. ....Qb6 This is not the mainline and is a sideline that is positional nad one that Korolev played a lot in this tournament.

22. ...Qxa2? The position was almost a dead draw before this, and then Korolev puts his queen on a bad square in order to grab a pawn. Perhaps he was just pressing too hard for a win here. And probably gives away the game with this move.
