twinlark: 15...Bc4 it is. How about that? Two in a row.
Feb-24-07  TheBB: What's with all the draws?!? :[

Marmot PFL: Well we had 2 decisive games last round, so all draws today would preserve the average.

Domdaniel: <twinlark> Hadn't I explained? Kamasutra is a Bonzo Dog song... probably about chess, with all the references to <positions>:

"We tried position seventy-one
It was a lotta fun
We tried position seventy-three
I was you and you were me ..."

  Robin01: I like 16.g5 here.
Feb-24-07  mack: Evenin' all.
Feb-24-07  TheBB: I got beer and snacks and a day off tomorrow. I would want some fighting today. But I guess not. :\

Feb-24-07  you vs yourself: How does g5 followed by f5?! look for white? Kingside attacking potential and possibly weakening d6 if black allows f6.

twinlark: <Dom> As in Doo Dah? The complications shaping up here may render that stanza most apposite.

  al wazir: <Robin01: I like 16.g5 here.> Followed by 17. f5.
Feb-24-07  you vs yourself: f5 looks better than fxe5 as the latter opens up black's dark square bishop.
Feb-24-07  TheBB: <Domdaniel> Easy, they are FRC starts.
Feb-24-07  euripides: 16.g5 Nh5 is interesting. 16.f5 is also possible; Ivanchuk may have 16...d5 in mind, but I'm not sure if it works.
Feb-24-07  mack: The words of Eckhard Freise come to mind.
Feb-24-07  euripides: 16.Bf3 is also possible, to deter Nh5.

boz: White may well push the kingside pawns, but I'm going to say he doesn't have the power behind them without the dark-squared bishop.
Feb-24-07  Ingolf: After g5, Black might thwart those attacking plans with Nh5-f4, where the knight will be relatively secure. White can only get rid of it by drawing his own horses away from his king's defense or with an exchange sac.
Feb-24-07  TheBB: Comp doesn't like 16. f5. I'm not going to pretend I know why, but whatever.

WannaBe: For anyone reading this, in the future, Ivanchuk's got 32 min. left on the clock, and he's on move 16.

Domdaniel: <twinlark> Doo Dah it is. Don't tell anyone, but this is also the secret code word that summons <mack>.

I don't understand this game <at all> btw.

Feb-24-07  Ingolf: Oh, <euripides> already said it and they already played it. Talk about late posting.

botvinnik64: Is it just me or is Chukky in trouble here?
Feb-24-07  mack: ..Rad8 looks necessary to put a stop to any 20.d6 shenangians.
Feb-24-07  you vs yourself: <WannaBe> He has the better position; he's used it and he's also a very good rapid player. So, don't worry about the clock too much:)
