WannaBe: Maybe 18... on a Tuesday puzzle?
Apr-21-07   Paul123: 18. Qxd7??

Looks like 18. Qxc4! wins

or at least tuns the tide in white's favor!

Aug-28-07   Ruy Lopez: His overall score with Bird's is +4 -6
Dec-27-07   computerchezplayer: paul123 be careful there is no win for white thats why black says double check with Nf3, if white plays Ncd4 , this means Ba4 :)) lose of queen. such a good preparation of mate
Dec-27-07   Riverbeast: Tim Taylor wrote a fiction book...set in medieval times...I read it a long time ago but I don't remember the title. But I remember it was quite well written

Gilmoy: 18.Qxc4+ <zwieschenzug!> Ne6+ <three-schenzug!> 19.Ncd4 <leave the Nf3 to defend Bd2 and g1 -- 19.Kh1 Nf2+ no progress> f5 looks curiously even, with dueling pins. White's Q and Black's Ng4 can both be chased off, but White doesn't mind: 19..Rac8 20.Qa2 and Bc4 leaves Black much worse. Maybe Black should just step out of the pin ASAP.

b2 looks poisoned, e.g. 19..Qxb2? 20.Rb1 Qa3 21.Rb7 Bc8 22.Rc7 .

In some lines, White has the sham sac Ng5! winning one of Black's Ns, and the resulting mess looks like it favors White with a K-side storm.
