Sep-26-07  tacite: Again, Leko fights well, manage to go up past 55 moves, but... draws. Leko, Leko, Leko, Leko : great preparation, great physical shape, very though to beat, but seems to miss that little-something-that-makes-you-win.

Sep-27-07  fictionist: Zahir! I agree but I think this is still not the right time yet for Leko. You will see in time. :)

ahmadov: Hello Rich, nice to see one of your rare posts on this web site :-)

As for Leko, I think things are becoming more difficult for him as a very strong generation of chess players are coming up...

Sep-27-07  sanyas: I am bamboozled by this opening. How is it that after such bizarre queen maneuvers Leko emerges with an opening advantage? Of course, if it works it's great.
Oct-03-07  fictionist: Well, new players really are coming up but not all will have that "it" thing..yes,that is championship potential. In my opinion, I see that in quite a few super Gms now. As a player who does not whine when Gms make draws, I know that Leko will have that chance soon.
Oct-03-07  fictionist: hehehe...it is really a "rare" sight when i post in CG these days, Zahir. I owe it to that fact that I am busy in other things aside from chess. Here in our country, you can not make a living out of chess. If I play like say, Fischer or Kasparov, maybe it is just ok if I play chess for money everyday. hehehe

Well, sanyas..you may call it bizarre Queen maneuvers but it's just that GMs really play differently. It can be like those "violating-general-principles" moves. But I guess, Leko has used this line before in his games when faced with the QID.
