  chessic eric: If anyone is wondering why not 27...h5 attacking the pinned knight, 28.f4,Rf5 29.Ne5,Rxf4? 30.Nxg6 follows.

And, being down the exchange, black shouldn't try removing the f pawn with ...Bxf2+ to prepare ...h5, because one pawn isn't worth trading the bishop pair and opening the position.

I read on the Internet that Ivanchuk was beside himself after the game because he realized that he missed a chance to gain a significant advantage.
