  jessicafischerqueen: <whatthefat> Heh...

What about ole <brankat>?? He's up ant 6 in the morning here and he's been here since the start.

It's 11 pm in Korea. What time is it in <what the fatville>?

Jan-12-08  rgr459: I am surprised they have all been playing for a full 90 minutes without any draws!
Jan-12-08  whatthefat: 1am here, which I guess isn't so bad for a saturday night. Although it is when one considers I'm spending said night watching chess. :)

brankat: For the duration of Corus, I've re-arranged my schedule. I'll be up nights and mornings, and sleep in the afternoons :-)

Heh, yes but this is the CATEGORY 2000 <Battsford Women's Chorus Guild> tournament-- one of the strongest in chess history.

Tell you the truth I spend about 99 percent of my time thinking about chess and I still suck at it.

Love it though.

Sneaky: Is 13.g4 played because ...f5 (or ...h5) would be a freeing move for Black? Or is it deeper than that? Until I get fully developed I'm always nervous about making small pawn adjustments, but this big sluggers seem to know when it's called for.

Rawprawn: I have the official site up beside this, so I have these head-to-heads back-to-back, as they slug it out toe-to-toe.

jessicafischerqueen: I think Topalov's blown a gasket-- he's sacced two pawns now and his queen is en prise--

I think he has to mate here or he's toast

jessicafischerqueen: Heh Topalov going for the throat all out do or die now-- Queen attacking and he's down two pawns with Knight en prise but his rook is ready to leap into the attack--

I'm having a heart attack since I bet Grandma's farm on him...
