kellmano: Brutal. White plays like a man on 3/3 (or 4/4)

Dr. Funkenstein: Good question syracrophy, perhaps after 11. 0-0-0 the queen is forced to return to g2 to avoid being trapped by Bf3 which allows white to play 12. Bc5 (or Bb4 or Ba3) threating Qd8#. I don't see how black would respond since giving up the bishop is still mate after Qxd7+ and Qd8+ followed by Rd8#. I don't see how black can defend d8 otherwise, but I could well have missed something
Jan-15-08  syracrophy: <Dr. Funkenstein> Thanks! Now I see: 10...Qxh1 11.0-0-0 Qg2 12.Bc5 f6 13.Qd8+ Kf7 14.Bh5+! g6/Qg6 15.Qf8#

Jan-15-08  sharkw: If 22...Bb7 in the final position, White wins simply with 23. Rxa8 Bxa8 24. Ra1 Nb4 25. Rxa7 and the bishop is trapped. However, Black could have played one more move to see if White would fall into a trap with 22...Kf8:

If 23. Bxc6?? Bb7 24. Rxa8 Bxc6 and Black escapes, but of course 23. Rxe8+ ends the game instantly. It's pretty embarrassing that it took me a while to see this.
