Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-01-08  socnegoti: This has to be one of the funniest blunders I have ever seen. Maybe black was thinking about the a6 pawn for so long he forgot about his bishop in the corner.
Feb-01-08  JYMMI: <socnegoti> Interesting, so this is a funny blunder? How exactly can a blunder be funny? And how exactly do you evaluate this blunder: Deep Fritz vs Kramnik, 2006 ? I thought it was horrible, but never funny.
Feb-01-08  socnegoti: <JYMMI> I'd call that Kramnik one hilarious.
Feb-24-08  sanyas: Why not 24.Rxe8 Rxe8 25.Bxf5?
Feb-24-08  sanyas: Eg. 25...Re2 26.Bd3 Re3 27.Bc2 Re2 28.Bb3 Bf7 29.Bxf7+ Kxf7 30.b3

GrahamClayton: This victory gave Zhao Zong Yuan his third and final GM norm. He mentioned that he was nervous and shaking when he went to play 31.Nh2, but his opponet resigned before he could capture the bishop.
