Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-23-10  jerseybob: Anyone who's ever hung a piece should take solace from Reshevsky's 37th move, probably played at blitz speed. An exciting battle up to that point. I don't like 17..Nd7; Nd5 looks better to me. On white's 32nd, Bd6 - threatening mate in two plus Bxb4 - looks better than 32.Bh6. After 32..Qd8 33.Qxd8ch, Bxd8 34.Bxb4 should win the ending. By the way, there's at least one more Reshevsky-Stahlberg game not listed in this database, from the 1947 New York vs. Argentina Radio Match, won by Reshevsky as white.
