Nov-26-10  Elsinore: Loveshack would have been a good pun, but we're not that lucky. ;)
Nov-26-10  David2009: Great escape by Marie Sebag in today's GOTD, but 29...Qh6 instead of Qg6 keeps the pressure on. After 29...Qg6 we reach

Even after 30.fxe5 h3 31.exd6, 31...Bc6! instead of 31...Nc5 looks good for Black, since White can't very well play Nd1 because of Rxb2.

Nov-26-10  WhiteRook48: this was more of defeat from the jaws of victory, right?
Nov-26-10  DarthStapler: I don't get the pun

Phony Benoni: A song by the B52s, which seems to explain <Elsinore>'s remark as well:

Nov-26-10  Elsinore: <Phony Benoni> You got it. I'm pretty young compared to some of the members here (old fogies), so if I know who the B-52's are, everyone should!!!
Nov-26-10  DarthStapler: I know who they are, I just never heard of that song
Nov-26-10  Elsinore: <DarthStapler> I wasn't criticising you. To be honest, I'm not sure why I knew who sang this. I should probably blame my mother for making me listen to Michael Bolten, Julio Iglesias and Bonnie Tyler when I was a wee lad. AND I WILL!
Nov-26-10  Elsinore: "Why should I change my name? He's the one who sucks." The first person to tell me what movie that line is from gets a shiny nickle.

Phony Benoni: Either the future Mrs. Dracula or Michael Bolton.
Nov-26-10  Elsinore: "I need the movie title!" he yells, as the nickle slowly slides back into his pocket.

Phony Benoni: Wasn't it some weird sci fi flick about working at home, called "Space Office"?

And you can keep the nickel. I can't afford the shipping and handling charge.

Nov-26-10  Elsinore: It wasn't a sci-fi flick, and the name was "Office Space", one of the funniest movies ever made, but close enough. You sir win a shiny nic, oh, nevermind. I should've offered a toaster.
Nov-29-10  kevin86: LOUD and CLAIRE!
