"The rapid game was briefly interrupted when after three moves the computer system stopped recording the players’ moves. After a new board had been installed Kramnik and Aronian picked up the thread of their game again.

They discussed a fashionable line of the Queen’s Indian, a discussion that was ‘interrupted’ when Kramnik made a move that was based on a miscalculation. His capture <22.Qxa7> was premature, as he had missed that after <22…Bc5> he could not go 23.Qa6, as had been his plan, because of 23…Rc2 24.Re2 Nc7! and White loses material. Once he realized his mistake he was happy to find that <23.Qa4> sufficed for a draw."
