30. Re8+.

Apr-14-08  Whitehat1963: Yup. Pretty obvious! Reason number 237,489 for why I'm not a grandmaster!

keypusher: <whitehat1963> We've all done worse, including in our own games when it mattered.
Apr-14-08  hellopolgar: yifan can usually stir the pot when she is playing against another female player, but here all she did was fighting for a draw. maybe in 3~4 years she will be better than Humpy, not quite yet.

keypusher: <hellopolgar> Yes, I think she realized early she was in trouble and just tried to survive.

Shouldn't Humpy have won this game, though? Just glancing at the position around move 35, I think it looks hopeless for Black.

Apr-14-08  slomarko: in my opinion 30.Qe8 is a bit suspect even if it looks good. i'd play 30.c6
Oct-11-08  BISHOP TAL: maybe you mean move 39 c6 slomarko Qe8 was played on move 39
