Apr-10-08  BlackNightmare: did korchnoi have a possible perpetual? frm move 37/38?
Apr-10-08  Alphastar: No. 38. ..Re5+ 39. Kf2 and the c-pawn cannot be stopped. The position was already lost for black.
Apr-10-08  Bobsterman3000: So, is 32...Rxc5 a blunder? It allowed white to free his cramped knight knight.

JohnBoy: <Bobster> - I think the image of the knight being cramped is illusory. White can get the knight to d3 by eventually playing it to either c1 (after R1c1 and R1c2) or f4 (after f4 gf4 Nf4) and then pick up black's Q-side pawns. Black is in big trouble.
Apr-11-08  Bobsterman3000: <JohnBoy> Ahhh, that makes sense. Thanks.
