Apr-16-08  Libispusher: Were they still playing theory after 15...Qe5?

Where did black go wrong after being three pawns up?

Apr-16-08  mistreaver: <Where did black go wrong after being three pawns up?> I still wonder that E.G why did black give up exchange so easily. Wasn't 20... Re8 or 20... Rd8 worth considering?
Anyway after loosing exhcange i don't get why black let the rest of his pawns so easily.I mean what is wrong with 23... b5. Or why not 30... Rxb5 I can see that black's problem is his development of LSB but i think white's compensation for three pawns is not enough
Apr-16-08  Libispusher: Examining CG's recent database, 20...Nc6 might be a novelty.

T Thorhallsson vs E Blomqvist, 2007, black played 20...Rd8 (0-1,41)

Rybka vs Shredder, 2007, black played 20...Re8 (1-0,55)

E Berg vs E Najer, 2007, black played 16...Bc5 (0-1,70)

All the games mentioned involved a queen sac by black.

Apr-16-08  Libispusher: I overlooked the game at Corus by Anand vs Van Wely, 2007, where black played 24...Qc7 (1-0,41)
