  suenteus po 147: I would say that players of similar skill, disposition, and circumstance would often create such games as these. I think this is why fans and enthusiasts are often drawn to the mavericks or general 'weirdos' of chess, since they have so few opponents who match their skill, disposition, or circumstance. I'm thinking primarily of Ivanchuk, Topalov, and Morozevich.

Sep-25-08  Tripler: Andersson has played the Slav Exchange for decades. Maybe it held him back against the elite - though there are some sharp variations B is ok.
