Messiah: Never surrender in this final position!
Aug-15-08  ikipemiko: ??? The final position is so surrendable. It's even disrespectful to continue playing in this position.
Aug-15-08  Madman99X: What does a 2078 player think after drawing Topalov? I couldn't beat him in a blindfolded simul.
Aug-19-08  Gnappo83: I think 12...h5 is the move played because of fear of kamikaze attack on the kingside started with 11.h4. Then Topa conquered the centre, the "c" line and can play on the h5 pawn (20.g4!?) that is very weak. The only chance to survive maybe is 20...f6: Topalov could play 21.Nf3 planning to push in g5 and putting the pawn in g6 in a difficoult situation, but Black dominates the "f" line, the Queen controls the 7th rank, and it's not simple to win.

After winning a pawn and simplifying, Topalov finds the strong 27.Qb3 that wins the second pawn and threatens the Bishop in b4 (27...a5?) and the control of a2-g8 diagonal, where white Queen can easily go in f7 thratening mates.
