 | | Coleman: Anyone with a computer analysis of this position? Anyone??? Anyone??? Hello....:) |

| Aug-19-08 | | Microdot: A very beautiful game by Morozevich!
28...Be5! was the winnig move
For example after 28...Be5! 29.Ra8+,Kg7 30.Ne8+,Kg6 31.Ra6,Kg5
All in all a very good game by Morozevich, in my opinion this was the best game of the round 2.
Go Moro go!!

| Aug-19-08 | | Marmot PFL: Not sure it is that good of a game. It didn't look like Mamedyarov drew the game so much as Morozevich failed to win it. |

 | | suenteus po 147: It might have been <Mateo>, but somebody posted that 28...c4 is much more a 'Morozevich move' than 28...Be5. I would expect the latter from Kramnik or Leko since it's such a solid, positional move. Which is not to say that Morozevich can't play this way, he can, but I don't see it very often. |

 | | notyetagm: <ahmadov: It is also useful to know whether Moro played 28...c4 under time pressure or not...> I think they were both down to around like 12 minutes to reach the time control at move 40 at the point of 28 ... c5-c4. And how about a <Rybka 3> eval for that position that I posted above! <Fritz 11> gives it a -2.00 eval, clearly winning, thanks <microdot>. |
