Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-20-08  stardust762: The game was already won, but 35.f6 would be stronger and devastating.
Sep-21-08  dumbgai: Is it just me or does this look more like a Ruy Lopez than a Sicilian?
Sep-22-08  Manic: <dumbgai> I guess the transposition fooled the ECO system <CG> use. It does resemble a Ruy by move 9.
Sep-22-08  ingberg: Rossolimo Sicilian can sometimes transpose to Chigorin type RL positions but with black having gained a few tempos.

IMO its one of the most boring openings but a good way to avoid a lot of theory of the open sicilian

Sep-23-08  actinia: I have no access to opening databases but 8. ... e5 seems overly ambitious. Black falls further behind in development and white is able to tear open the position.
Sep-23-08  euripides: <actinia><I have no access to opening databases>

Sep-24-08  actinia: hah! I can't believe I never knew of this function.
Sep-24-08  actinia: The combination of black's e5 and g6 is what concerned me. I guess not e5 alone.
