Oct-13-08  BadKnight: Go Anand!!
Oct-13-08  Cactus: Go Kramnik!
Oct-13-08  just a kid: Kramnik will strike first.I don't understand why people bash Kramnik around for making quick draws. He is a great technical player.

ketchuplover: Isn't there supposed to be a half hour delay? Are the moves(here) starting a half hour later than the posted time?

suenteus po 147: While I'm partial to Kramnik between the two, I'm just ready to bask in the amazing chess that will be played. No matter who wins this ought to be one for the history books!
Oct-13-08  madlydeeply: I'm for the injun.
Oct-13-08  rahidz2003: I'm cheering for Anand, but I hope for amazing chess games as well :)

And the half-hour delay is lame. If Chessgames delays then there will be people posting spoilers, if they don't could they get in trouble?

chessgames.com: We have read that there will be a 30 minute delay from the official site. If this is true then we're looking at a 9:30am starting time, but amidst the uncertainty, we are announcing it as starting at 9:00am.
Oct-13-08  just a kid: Kramnik has 8 classical wins against Anand(7 with White!)
Oct-13-08  just a kid: I think this will be a draw.
Oct-13-08  rahidz2003: Cool! In case there is a delay, could you encourage people not to post spoilers from foidoschess.Tv? I think it would kind of ruin the action.

Anatoly21: Kramnik has had a reputation for scoring early in a match (Kasparov 2nd, Leko 1st, Topalov 1st), and I think its very likely he will do it again. Let's go Vladdy!!!

PhilFeeley: With Kramnik having white first, I expect a good game from him, perhaps even a win. I don't expect to see any 1. e4 games. I don't know why but it seems players favour 1. d4 in World Championship matches. The Kramnik-Topalov match for instace.

Travis Bickle: Experts have compared Vishy's play to that of Robert James Fischer, even with his quick paced moves always having the advantage of the clock. It's Anands time to take the Crown.

Oct-13-08  satvikv: Whether the first game draws or not, Anand would take an early lead and would maintain it at least in the first half of the tournament.

If foidoschess broadcasts without delay can't <CG.com> use foidoschess to transmit moves starting 9 AM?

Hesam7: This is pretty exciting. This match had to be played 7 years ago.
