Oct-29-08  jimy1968: i still prefer h5 instead bg7, looks like kramnik either is to carefull or he sees something i dont
Oct-29-08  Mateo: 14.Rd5 Qe7 15.Qg3 looks simple and good.
Oct-29-08  Perley: I like the line with Rd5 Qe7 Qg3. It commits black to either the kingside via O-O or the center with Bh6+ or Rg8.

  PhilFeeley: I like Rd5.
Oct-29-08  weisyschwarz: I am guessing that ...Bg7 prepares for ...0-0.

GM Julio Becerra: I agree with Mateo.
Oct-29-08  MindCtrol9: Or just <14.Rd5?> sounds good to me,also.
Oct-29-08  capatal: Vlad, There's trouble in paradise.

Rawprawn: <I don't like. BG7 - why is the bishop there and why now?> Can he be going to castle king's side, to remove the potential skewer of Q against his K?
Oct-29-08  DEEPERGRAY: Ok I guess I understood
Castle and deveop the bishop

It just looks ugly

Oct-29-08  jimy1968: lot of possibilitis here,maybe that's y kramnik did't rush

  sofouuk: <Rd5 Qe7 Qg3> Bh6+ Kb1 Be6 and what then? tiny advantage for white?

VargPOD: Must go away for awhile. Kramnik's position looks awful. I predict this will be 1-0 before I get back.
Oct-29-08  AdrianP: Rd5 Qg3 O-0 and Black's king is safe at least for a little while. ...Be6 will come with tempo and maybe Black can get some counterplay. Bg7 has the advantage of protecting ...f6 which was otherwise looking a bit vulnerable to Nd5
Oct-29-08  JG27Pyth: This can't be good for Kramnik... do the GMs, computers et. al agree?
Oct-29-08  jimy1968: i dont think is the good idea to 0-0
Oct-29-08  percyblakeney: <<Rd5 Qe7 Qg3> Bh6+ Kb1 Be6 and what then? tiny advantage for white?>

White could then sacrifice the exchange with exf5 Bxd5 Nxd5 and get this position:

Oct-29-08  MindCtrol9: <14.Qg3> was not really good due to a check and the advance of the <f pawn>

  Honza Cervenka: <Mateo: 14.Rd5 Qe7 15.Qg3 looks simple and good.>

Maybe too simple and too good. What if 15...Bh6+ 16.Kb1 Be6?

Oct-29-08  Hot Logic: <Rawprawn> Anand needs to unhang his own queen first. Whilst trading queens would be good for Kramnik's position it would be bad for his ability to create complications with chances for a win.

acirce: For what it's worth Rybka liked 14.Nd2 much better: +0.5 at high depth at http://chessok.com/broadcast/live.p... (and that line led into an endgame White couldn't possibly lose, I think, so Black would have had to deviate even from this).

Eyal: <AdrianP: Rd5 Qg3 O-0 and Black's king is safe at least for a little while. ...Be6 will come with tempo> Not after exf5...

sofouuk: <White could then sacrifice the exchange> fruit dismissed that 0.00, you have better?
Oct-29-08  Woody Wood Pusher: white might double on the d-file soon. What a great game!

PhilFeeley: Good. 14. Rd5. Now get the bishop out, double the rooks on the d-file. Good for a win?
