Aug-11-03  erikcu: Why not 17. Rxc4? Was 17. Qxg6 just an oversight or am I missing something.
Aug-12-03  xu fei: <erikcu> 17.Rxc4 Ne3+ 18.(any) Rd1++
Aug-12-03  erikcu: Ok thanks, So when does it actually fall apart for white? After the 3rd move, or is it his sacrifice of the knight?
Aug-20-03  The Backward Pawn: why not 14. fxg4?, obviously fxe4, but i dont see what black has against fxg4
Aug-20-03  AgentRgent: <14. fxg4> This is a (weak) computer program's take on it:

14. fxg4 O-O-O 15. Be3 Qxd5 16. Nf4 Qc4+ 17. Ne2 Bc5 18. Qxd8+ Kxd8 19. Bf4 Nd4 20. Re1 g5 21. b3 Qa6 22. g3 Qd3 23. Kg1 Qf3 24. Bxg5+ Nxg5 25. h4 Nxe2+ 26. Kh2 Qxg3#

  Calli: On 14. fxg4 then Qc5 (white has a hard time protecting f2)

14.fxg4 Qc5 15.Ke1 Qf2+ 16.Kd1 0-0-0 wins

Better is 14.fxg4 Qc5 15.Nd4 but 15... 0-0-0! 16.Be3 Qc4+ etc should win easy .e.g. 17.Kg1 Bh6
