Jan-03-09   thebribri8: Beautiful finish, but what in God's name is the "150 Attack"???
Jan-03-09   Cactus: From wikipedia <<The 150 Attack>

The setup Be3 and Qd2 is very common against the King's Indian Defence and the Sicilian Dragon, abd can akso be used against the Pirc. Indeed this system is as old as the Pirc itself. And the Be3 System is the variation that has logged the highest winning percentage for White with 48%, based on Chessgames.com database....>

wushu secrets...
Jan-06-09   GreenArrow: The 150 attack is the Be3 f3 Qd2 setup, as mentioned, thus named because anyone under 150 BCF (or 2000ELO) tends to get crushed by it. Pirc players try to avoid allowing for the ready made attack (which plays itself after ...0-0, h4-5, Bh6 etc) by delaying Bf8-g7 or Ng8-f6, so as not to lose a tempo after white plays Bh6. The opening is dodgy in general though so even if black has learnt roughly how to avoid some stuff he can get hammered in other ways, like here.
