Jan-27-09  eternaloptimist: <ajile:Wow exciting game. Time for me to take my Ritalin.> LOL! This almost ended up being a perfectly symmetrical position, but it is perfectly boring. Why did they even bother to play? Why didn't they just agree to a draw ahead of time so they could sleep later & save websites a tad bit of space on their hard drives.
Apr-15-09  freeman8201: Why agree to such short draws!?
Oct-06-09  The Rocket: "Why agree to such short draws!?"

because nakamura being one of the greatest blitz players of all time wanted to enter the blitz stages. and carlsen was of course with black happy with a draw.

As it turned out nakamuras absence from icc showed and he actually lost to svidler and Carlsen in the blitz games.
