I think so <dotsamoht> but the return match date is not clear. In the message chessgames left us back on page 1 of this forum says 2010 or 2011. Hope we don't have to wait that long. There may be a match in between with an unknown opponent. <chessgames.com:The draw for colors took place in the Chessgames office and Umansky received the white pieces for his first game. (We have already offered him a rematch scheduled for 2010 or 2011, in which case of course he will get the Black pieces.)> Page 1 from this forum |

 | | WinKing: <dotsamoht> this game(being only 36 moves) went a little faster than chessgames & most of us figured I'm sure. Perhaps I should have used a better word than 'ensuing' which does mean following immediately. Unless GMMU agrees to play a second game this quickly &(or) depending whether chessgames has another opponent for us in the wings is unclear. |

We lost our tiny lead by following two moves recommended by Fritz which didn't see the drawish line. I think quite a few here still use Fritz 11. Although I prefer and use the Deep Rybka 3 engine, I still prefer and use the Fritz 11 interface. |

 | | Thorsson: <Hugin> We just need move champions as we've had in the past. Just let them pick good moves. And let's try to keep an open mind. After all it's easy to go with R3 if we don't find anything, so this is 'for free'. What's more I feel sure that <RV> will check with Rybka if we find something interesting. |

 | | WinKing: <kutztown46: I asked chessgames.com yesterday who the next opponent is but they have not answered me yet.> I would not mind playing an OTB player such as Topalov. We might have to take the black pieces again but I don't think the team would mind. Now whether Topalov is up on using engines I do not know. Also I do not know his schedule & the commitments he may have at present. His style would surely make for an interesting mix with chess engines. A draw would be less likely, I believe, because of his aggressive nature. So far chessgames has had a nice mix of CC & OTB players. |

I think we might even be better if we just started with a list of candidate moves generated by engines and humans along with a short line for each rather than with starting with RV as the default. Isn't that how strong players do it, sort of? |

 | | YouRang: When this game is over, chessgames.com will need to assign an appropriate pun to this game involving "the world". (The last draw was "The World at Peace"). Any suggestions? |

 | | benjinathan: <YouRang> I think the pun for the previous draw was "World Peace", but you have captured the idea of a suggestion I made earlier "At Peace With the World". |

"The world returns the favor" is my suggestion |
 |
Aug-11-09
 | | YouRang: Perhaps:
"The World upon his shoulders"
Or, for those who feel that Rybka 3 had too much influence: "Robots take over The World".
;-) |
