 | | Chessgames Bookie: You think Kamsky can put a "1" on the scoreboard tomorrow? 4 to 1 says he won't. >> Match: Game 4: Kamsky vs Topalov. By the way... first. |
Feb-20-09
 | | Travis Bickle: You play with real money and I'll take 4-1 at 1000 dollars! |
Feb-20-09
 | | zanshin: 4 - 1 sounds good ... third! |
Feb-20-09
 | | drkodos: I will put up $500 real money. Is there a Carribbean website we can use? Topalov is toying with Kamsky. |
Feb-20-09
 | | MaxxLange: You people need help! 4 to 1? |
| Feb-20-09 | | Marmot PFL: I believe that Kamsky will win a game before it is over, but not tomorrow. Probably a draw. |
Feb-20-09
 | | messachess: Even if the match continues all draws, that still makes for a possibly very exciting game 8 that Topa will have to draw to win the match outright. |
| Feb-20-09 | | Marmot PFL: Still, I didn't think Anand would lose today either... |

 | | parisattack: I am very much enjoying this match between two of my favorite players. GM Short's comments and analysis have been awesome and entertaining. Those taking offense at some of his comments perhaps don't understand his wonderful style and wit. What a great season for chess - this match, Linares, Aeroflot! Thank you, Al Gore, for inventing the Internet. ;) |

 | | dakgootje: well, the 3:1 as of now seems about right. Suppose there is a 60% chance for a draw and the other 40% is split 20-20 or 25-15 with the 25 for kamsky as he has white, then the current odds would be more or less correct [3:1 obviously implies a 25% chance of winning] |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Good evening.
Greetings to the players, the gallery, and Mr. Short. Good game all. |
| Feb-21-09 | | Pyrrhus: Well, I need to be woken up. Short, I demand you make me giggle like a girl child. |
| Feb-21-09 | | Pyke: Well, Short's still at Playchess playing Blitz. |
| Feb-21-09 | | Pyrrhus: Hmm. Shirking his duties and leaving his loving audience to pour out coffee with half closed lids. He should be ashamed. |
| Feb-21-09 | | Pyke: <Pyrrhus> Don't worry. He'll be here soon enough! |
Feb-21-09
 | | eisenherz: Let's see what the first moves will look like!
| Feb-21-09 | | Pyke: I think Kamsky will stick to 1.e4.
Wouldn't a switch to 1.d4 admit too openly that Kamsky lost the preparation battle? And that he's very worried? |
Feb-21-09
 | | Nigel Short: Morning boys and girls! Just finishing my lunch... |
| Feb-21-09 | | Pyrrhus: I don't think so. Kamsky plays d4 with some frequency so I suspect we'll see it at least once during the match. |
| Feb-21-09 | | Pyrrhus: Were you eating up the opposition on Playchess? Yes. We have inside men Short, we know of your betrayal. |
Feb-21-09
 | | eisenherz: I guess he will play e4 too. But playing d4 would come as a surprise to Topalov. Till now Kamsky was always surprised by Topalov's opening preparation. Can he change that today? |

 | | botvinnik64: Nigel:
Is it still possible to play K Gambit?? |
Feb-21-09
 | | Woody Wood Pusher: Looks like I get to watch a game today! Yea!
I hope Kamsky doesn't adopt Kasparov's strategy of quick drawing all his White games whilst behind in a short match... |
Feb-21-09
 | | eisenherz: Good morning Mr. Short! Nice to see you!
Would you share your thoughts about today's game with us? |

 | | Absentee: Can someone link a site with video coverage of the match? Thanks. |
