 | | Eyal: <If it took Kramnik losing the World Championship (in a match) to get him to play the Sicilian again, it is worth it.> This was a must-win game for Kramnik, if he wanted to have any chance of catching up with Aronian, so he played the Sicilian - just as he did in the final games of the matches with Fritz and Anand (the only other post-2005 games in which he played the Sicilian); it doesn't necessarily indicate a real change in his repertoire. It might suggest, though, that he's better off with the Kan than the Najdorf in such situations |
