<24.Qf4> would have squashed Black, forcing the exchange of queens, trashing Black's pawn structure, and leaving White a grinner and a winner with an extra piece: <24.Qf4 c2 25.e4 Bh7 26.Qxf6 gxf6 27.Ng4> wins:
