karnak64: Um, I'd say "first" or something but that would raise someone's disdain. And I wouldn't wish to do that.

  rogge: I second that.

tamar: If you would just listen to a fifth of what I said, you would have the key to this game.
May-21-09  sergeidave: Carlsen has drawn his SIXTH game in this tourney already, right?

bumpmobile: My chessbucks say this will be his seventh.
May-22-09  malthrope: Take an eight of an ounce and mix it well to your drink and you too will relish this royal game as it proceeds. ;)

kspiteri: Let us hope that the ninth round will be as interesting as the tournament has been so far.
May-22-09  abstraction: And I hope I get home from work tonight around ten so I can watch the game.

norami: I live east coast USA time, I usually wake up around eleven o'clock, just when the game is getting interesting.

Gilmoy: We could build <half a case> that chessgames' live coverage of "M-Nus" constitutes favoritism towards (ahem) Scandinavia!! Perhaps a brilliancy to avenge his loss to Wang Yue at Corus, a gift fit for the <last day of Christmas>, judged by a <full jury> of all of the <apostles> (evenly split between <stick and spray>). <Midnight> my time, alas.

karnak64: Well, I started it and would take this thread one further but that would be unlucky.

Thank you for not doing that.

PhilFeeley: I never know what number to claim, since somebody always posts at the same time as I do, so I'll just say, "Go Carlsen!"

waustad: <TB>I hope not, but I think his personality is so dramatically different that I don't expect him to get quite as loony. He could be WCC someday though.

  Robin01: Looks like a Slav.
May-22-09  Mateo: Not an English but a Slav. They are following Anand-Yue, Amber 2009.

Eyal: Yeah, it's a sort of Chameleon (a6) Slav. Wang Yue played this line recently in Amber (Anand vs Wang Yue, 2009).

nimh: <Is Carlsen the next Fischer?>

I hope so. I'd say the probability of him surpassing Fischer's achievements and legacy is quite high, if we judge from what how young he is and what he has achieved.
