luzhin: A brutal conclusion of the sort in which we would more normally expect Shirov to be on the attacking side: after 33...Kxh7 white checks on h3 and g3, picking up the Rook on b8.
Jun-05-09  itsankush: This is so peculiar about Shirov. He plays masterly in one tournament and then looses everything in the next.
Aug-01-09  kurtrichards: No chance for Shirov to set the board on fire.

  whiteshark: Where is white's win after <30...Qe4+ 31.f3 Qe3>?

triangulation: <whiteshark> I think 32.Qf1 does the trick. Black has to give up losing material to stop the mate on h7 after that. All moves except Qe6 or Rb6 or Qxg8+ or other moves giving up material for black are met with for example 32...Rg8(or f6 or xxx) 33.Rxh7+ Kxh7 34. Qh3#
