 | | ajk68: 14...Na5 seems to be where things went wrong. At least, the subsequent moves don't exhibit a consistent plan. Even then, e7 seems like a better square for the knight. In the game, instead of 15...h6, maybe 15...c4 followed by ...b5. Eventually the knight can be repositioned in a more active location. c4 and b5 seem to hem in the white bishops. The dark squared bishop is awful. The light squared bishop loses its attack on the f7 square. As it is, a few moves later, the dark squared bishop is involved in mating threats. On the other hand, black's light-squared bishop is bad. In the endgame, it appears black should have been trying to trade off the rooks and make a fortress. It may have been possible to pull off an opposite-colored bishop draw. |
