  fredthebear: This was a club match. Future GM Keene was about 14 years old at the time.

The pawn advance 23...c3 not only threatens to capture the White queen, it interferes with the defense of her knight (forged by the minor exchange of the first penetrating Black knight). The apparent relative pin 24.Rc1 simply loses a piece (queen and rook for queen and pawn) and the game is all but over.

This game is a good example of Black castling opposite into his space advantage with extended pawns. A player can safely push the pawn shield in front of his castled king so long as he has pieces about to protect the king.
