  Chessical: Swapping off the queens with <19... Qxd2> 20. Rxd2 c5 21. bxc5 dxc5 seems to keep Black afloat.

With nothing to lose, Black could have tried: <33... Qxg3+!?> 34. fxg3 Rxf1+ 35. Kh2 R8f2+ for surprise value at least.

  ray keene: white keeps some pressure after 19...Qxd2 20 Rxd2-the point is i was sure my opponent wanted to keep queens on the board so i improved my position by offering to trade. the sacrifice you mention does of course have shock value but wd not have altered the result.
