  ajk68: What was Kasparov's plan with 18. Na4 ?
Sep-25-09  goldenbear: I think he probably was thinking that this is blitz, sac a pawn, activate the rook, etc. Unfortunately, there was in fact no way to liven the play.
Sep-26-09  tivrfoa: <ajk68: What was Kasparov's plan with 18. Na4 ?> It was Kasparov's mistake. Karpov would not let Kasparov regain the pawn.
Sep-27-09  Knight13: 2800 vs 2600 Kasparov is bound to lose one game or two with 200 point difference...
Dec-03-10  freeman8201: And this is the only game Karpov wins by playing Bishop e7 on the 3rd move, according to chessgames.com.
