Oct-09-09  Paraconti: I really don't understand leko these days. There's no way you play a super GM on a cleared up board and expect to make a win. When will he complicate his games, keep major pieces on and take some semblance of risks to win??? He's only 30 and plays like a 50 year old.
Oct-09-09  euripides: 41.f5 would be worth trying against opposition a thousand or so Elo points lower; then 41...hxg5? 42.f6 wins for White, but 41...f6 is fine.
Oct-09-09  Paraconti: <euripides> of well and good - one shouldn't have to try tricks against 2700+ opp in the endgame with so few pieces on the board, but Leko should have played more aggresively in the earlier stages to try to obtain a more double edged position that would avoid simple drawn positions (for GM levels that is).
